The Give & Take of Being a Kid

The adults in their world seem demanding - this session helps kids cope with the stress of being a kid. It's an entertaining, yet practical session for elementary school-aged children. Dr. Sturdy presents practical ideas on how they can lessen their own worries and stressors. Topics range from doing chores, to studying in school, to dealing with divorce and separation.

Gr. 10-12

High School is an important bridge to adulthood. Healthy minds are important, but let's not forget the need for healthy bodies. Dr. Sturdy offers insights into the growing trend of overfat & underfit kids in our society and what they need to do to avoid being one of them! Finding and making time for fitness, as well as monitoring nutritional habits is the emphasis of this session.
